Liam Gallagher is at war with neighbours over trees in his £4million London mansion
AS if life could not get any less rock ‘n’ roll for Liam Gallagher.
The former Oasis rocker is used to high-profile feuds with A-listers including Robbie Williams, Peter Kay and Bob Dylan.
But at the moment the only quarrel he appears to have on his hands is with his neighbours of his £4million London house.
Insiders said the Don’t Look Back In Anger singer, recovering from a double hip replacement, has been forced to pay out to have some historic trees cut back at his gaff.
And to make the process even more tiresome, the trees are under a preservation order, which meant Liam had to apply to the council before taking a chainsaw to them.
A source said: “Liam’s life used to be an exciting whirlwind and now it’s become a bit of a drag.
“He’s had a neighbour make a complaint about his trees overhanging and he’s had to get permission to have them lopped back.
“It’s been a boring few months as it is, with Liam having to put his feet up because of his double hip replacement ops too.”
Shall I post you a supply of Horlicks and a packet of Werther’s now, Liam?
After this dull existence, I’m not surprised Liam is so desperate to go back into the studio.
The former hellraiser revealed in April last year that he needed his joints done after being diagnosed with arthritis.
He said at the time: “My hips are f***ed, I’ve got arthritis, bad.
“I went to get it checked out and my bones are mashed up.
“The lady was going, ‘Oh, you might need a hip operation, a replacement’.
“I think I’d rather just be in pain.
“Which is ridiculous, obviously. I know that. Just get them fixed.
“But it’s the stigma, saying you’ve had your hips replaced. What’s next?”

His brother Noel is preparing to release an excellent new record, Council Skies, so what of a Liam comeback?
When asked by fans on Twitter last week if he was going back into the studio, Liam told them he was “about to fire up the engines”.
Music insiders confirmed over the weekend that he wanted to kick start his career, with one revealing he had “another record in him” before he would think about an Oasis reunion.
After being forced to sit on his backside for months and getting moaned about by his neighbours, I’m sure Liam has a lot to sing about.
I’m just not sure if I’m that bothered about hearing it.
BOWIE KEPT BRIT SIMPLE
NEIL TENNANT has revealed Starman David Bowie was so down to earth that his rider at The Brit Awards consisted of basic food including ham sarnies.
The Pet Shop Boys singer recalled working with Bowie when he featured as guest artist on the re-recorded version of his song Hallo Spaceboy in 1996.
Neil said: “Bowie was fun and weirdly not pretentious.
“I remember him back-stage at the Brits eating a ham baguette.
“You imagine him to have Indonesian sardines, but there he was with a ham baguette.
“I loved Bowie. We went to see him at Newcastle City Hall (in the Seventies).
“I have still got his autograph.
“That was a big influence.”
With his group Pet Shop Boys, Neil enjoyed 22 Top Ten singles and four No1s, including West End Girls and It’s A Sin.
The latter enjoyed a resurgence thanks to Olly Alexander who covered the cult hit after starring in the Channel 4 series of the same name in 2021.
Appearing on Dermot O’Leary’s Reel Stories on BBC2, which will air on May 20, Neil explained: “When we wrote the song in 1983, who would have thought it would be suitable to put on the BBC’s New Year’s Eve show 40 years later?
“In the Eighties and Nineties I had friends who were dying of Aids.
“There was a contrast to being a pop star and visiting your friends in hospital.
“With It’s A Sin I think the heterosexual community caught up and thought, ‘I never appreciated what went on there’.
“I found the show difficult to watch.
“It is great to have Olly Alexander come up.
“I am practically old enough to be his grandfather.
“I love it when generations come together like that.”
JACK’S A BACKSTREET BOY
JACK GREALISH is taking me back in time with his retro clobber.
The Man City winger looks just like Kevin Richardson from the Backstreet Boys in the Nineties with his necklace and white jacket.
All he needs to do is pimp up his eyebrows and cut an inch off those curtains and he could be a double.
In The Face style magazine last year, Jack said he looked up to Harry Styles when it came to fashion.
He said: “I like his style. It’s cool.
“Everyone is different, people wear different types of clothes and what he wears suits him.
“Some of his stuff is a bit different to what I’d usually wear, but I admire the way he owns what he wears.
“I think he wears it well.”
I’m a big fan of Jack’s on the pitch but when it comes to fashion, I think he should ask for a bit of advice from his model missus Sasha Attwood.
NIALL TO LIVE HIS FEST LIFE
NIALL HORAN can’t wait to get out and play big festivals this summer following the launch of his album The Show.
The Slow Hands singer will play Isle Of Wight on June 15, six days after his record is out, and TRNSMT on July 7.
He said: “Doing festivals is the most exciting thing.
“I’ve done the conventional thing where you stick an album out, you do the promotion for it then you go on the road.
“This time I want to do festivals.
“We’re doing Isle of Wight the night Robbie Williams is on.”
The ex-One Direction member admitted the gigs may not be the easiest.
He said: “Looking out trying to get new fans and seeing people falling about with rain jackets on.
“You have to grow into that I suppose.”

BESTIVAL ON TRACK FOR IBIZA
CAMP Bestival will celebrate its 15th anniversary this summer with Primal Scream and Sam Ryder booked to play across the two sites in Dorset and Shropshire.
In an exclusive interview to celebrate the milestone, founder, DJ Rob Da Bank has revealed the event could be going international.
After creating Camp Bestival in the south in 2008, it expanded on to the second site last year. Now they are looking abroad.
Rob said: “I think possibly an international version next.
“We have covered a lot of the UK now, so maybe somewhere sunnier.
“But we’ve had great weather here recently. Maybe Ibiza. It has that heritage.
“Starting the new location in Shropshire last year made total sense.
“It has been a long time coming to expand but we’re selling twice as many tickets for the new one as last year already.”
Rob and his wife Josie created Camp Bestival for people who wanted a festival experience that they could enjoy with their children.
Now their vision has gone full circle, with their own kids working on the event.
Rob said: “We started Bestival when our first child was being born and we’ve now got four.
“They are all into the festival in different ways.
“Some of them are working there, some are DJing there, some are helping with the creative build. It has all come to fruition.”

CARDI AND OFFSET SO POSH
CARDI B and hubby Offset have taken a leaf out of Posh and Becks’ book.
The pair turned out in matching leather outfits during a date in New York just like David and Victoria did in 1999.
WAP singer Cardi wore this full-length coat and ridiculously towering Chanel platform boots.
Offset looked like he was going out to bat in a cricket match in these leather knee pads, which he teamed with a matching jacket.
It was a short-lived Sunday date for the couple, as rapper Offset had to leave the Big Apple for a show in Connecticut that same evening.

DUA LIPA has enlisted the mastermind behind Sir Elton John’s The Lockdown Sessions for her third album.
She has been in the studio with fellow Brit Danny Harle finalising songs.
I previously told how Dua is in the final stages of her record, her first since 2020’s Future Nostalgia.
It is pencilled in to be released at the end of the year, after Dua appears in Margot Robbie’s film Barbie.
Dua has also recorded multiple songs for the movie’s soundtrack.
ISLE BE. ASH IS ON HOLS AGAIN
IS it me or is Ashley Roberts always on holiday?
The former Pussycat Dolls singer has shared photographs from another foreign jolly – this time to Ibiza.
Ashley posted snaps from The White Isle on Instagram, with this one appearing to show she wore her pyjamas to the beach.
Fashionistas will call it style but I call it plain daft.
Ashley captioned her snap: “On the rocks, no salt.”
A fortnight ago she was in Phoenix, Arizona and before that enjoying the high life in Dubai.

HUCKNALL: OASIS NOT ALL THAT
MICK HUCKNALL thinks Take That were more important than Oasis in redefining a new generation of music in the Nineties.
The Simply Red frontman was discussing the Britpop era on the Rockonteurs podcast when he said he thought the influence of bands such as Oasis, Blur and Suede were overstated.
Mick said: “I thought the shift in the Nineties happened with Take That.
“The hip side of the Nineties wants to talk about Oasis, Blur and Suede, whatever.
“But I looked at Take That and thought, that’s a mainstream that’s really taking off in a big way.
“So while I acknowledge what you’re saying about Suede and Oasis and the importance of that, it’s the way in which people eulogise in Manchester about Factory Records like it is some kind of holy grail.
“But they’ve still not sold that many albums.
“And they’re still not that big globally.”
I don’t think Liam Gallagher will thank you for that, Mick.
