EMMERDALE viewers break down in tears as Mackenzie Boyd says goodbye to his newborn son Reuben.
Chloe Harris makes a huge decision to move back to Scotland in Wednesday’s episode of the ITV soap.
The newly married Mack struggled to stay away from Chloe and their newborn son Reuben.
After making an excuse to escape from his wife Charity, Mack visits Chloe when she is on her own so he could see his son.
A worried Mack pointed out Chloe looks like she is struggling to cope and offered to help.
Chloe admitted she needs help but when Mack hugged Chloe to comfort her, a fuming Sarah walked in demanding answers.
Mack said he was helping a mother is distress, but agreed to stay away.
Later, Mack sees Chloe in the park with Reuben and told her to call him if she ever needs help.
Chloe breaks the news that they will be going back to Scotland tomorrow.
A shocked Mack thought they will be sticking around, but Chloe pointed out that if Mack continues to see her and Reuben, Charity will figure out he’s the dad.
Mack failed to persuade Chloe to stay and she wishes him well with hopes that everything will work out between him and his new wife.
She then told Mack to say goodbye to Reuben while they have the chance.
A devastated Mack said: “I haven’t even held him yet. So can I?”
Mack held Reuben in his arms and tells him: “I want you to have the best life, because you have the best mum. And if you ever need anything…”
Chloe interrupted him and suggested he left instead of making promises he can’t keep.
Mack left in tears not knowing when or if he will see his son again.
ITV viewers also broke down in tears at the emotional scenes.
