I’m a Hooters girl – people always ask if the chain ‘paid for my boob job’ and they’re surprised by my answer
THE Hooters brand is surrounded by legends, myths, and misconceptions.
One server shared the questions she hears from curious customers and potential coworkers, and her answers surprised many.
For server Brianna Mattiucci (@brimattiucci), wearing the iconic uniform means putting up with probing inquiries.
But she doesn’t mind a bit, and even made a video to address frequently-asked questions from people who haven’t worked for Hooters.
Mattiucci stayed in uniform as she filmed her video, titled “Questions I get asked as a Hooters girl.”
First was perhaps the most extreme question, tied to a longstanding rumor about the company’s employee “perks.”
The invasive question appeared onscreen. “Do they really pay for your boob job?” it read.
As Mattiucci smirked slightly, she mouthed the answer. “Nope!”
But there were other infamous aesthetic aspects to the job that Mattiucci was able to confirm.
The question appeared in a caption. “Are the tights mandatory?” it read.
Mattiucci looked at someone off-screen and laughed before she answered.
“Yep,” she responded, “Sure are!” Her off-camera colleague was presumably commiserating about the pricey uniform staple.
Others were more concerned with the job satisfaction.
“Do you actually love working there?” one questioned the server.
“Absolutely,” Mattiucci said, grinning and sticking out her tongue.
The final question addressed another eyebrow-raising rumor about the restaurant.
“Do you have to stand up against a wall during the interview?” it read.
The question referenced the legend that during an interview, Hooters servers must face a wall.
As the tale goes, if the potential employee’s chest touches the wall before her nose, she’s “equipped” for the job.
But Mattiucci’s TikTok cut off abruptly before she could solve the mystery once and for all.
In the video’s description, she cheekily teased her followers.
“I guess you’ll never know,” she taunted viewers.
Of course, Hooters employs plenty of women with smaller chests, so it’s probably safe to write that rumor off.
