My hubby made an epic blunder with our Asda shop – it sat in the fridge for days & everyone says their man does it too

A WOMAN entertained her social media users when she revealed her husband had made a huge blunder when unpacking their shopping.

The social media user revealed that she’d done an online order with Asda, and treated herself to some daffodils.

The woman recalled her hubby’s epic blunder with her flowers

However, after her hubby unpacked the shopping bags, she couldn’t see the flowers anyway, so assumed they hadn’t turned up – only to find he thought they were something totally different.

She explained: “I ordered some daffs from Asda this week which didn’t turn up, so I complained and got a refund.

“Turns out my husband thought they were spring onions and they’ve been in the fridge for the last 3 days.”

As people reacted to her story, many said it had had them in hysterics, while others said that her man wasn’t alone.

One said: “I can’t believe it – my husband did exactly the same thing last year.”

Another person added: “My partner did the exact same thing!!!”

While a third recalled: “My hubby did the same thing with my Asda delivery today.”

A fourth joined the conversation as they typed: “Yep, hubby did the exact same thing.”

And a fifth wrote: “My husband did this too!”

Others went on to say: “OMG, thank you so much, I needed this laugh today. Epic.”

And another said it had made them “snort” with laughter, as someone else thanked the lady for making them “chuckle.”

However, while many saw the funny side, others pointed out that the couple were lucky that someone didn’t accidentally eat the flowers.

That’s because daffodils are thought to be poisonous when eaten due to containing a toxic chemical called lycorine.

The plant has high concentration levels of lycorine within the bulb, but eating any of it can lead to symptoms including nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhoea.

Meanwhile, daffodils also contain a chemical called oxalates, which, when swallowed, can lead to burning and irritation of the lips, tongue, and throat, in addition to skin irritation.

In the event that this does happen, people are encouraged to rinse their mouth well with water and keep hydrated.

However, the side effects are thought to only last approximately three hours, but in some more severe cases, medical treatment could be required.
