I transformed my grubby patio on a budget & it looks like a different space – it was WAY cheaper than repaving too
THERE’S nothing quite like hosting a BBQ or garden party in the summer.
But if your patio is looking a little worse for wear, then no fear – because a savvy homeowner has revealed how you can give your garden a total glow up on a budget.
Sera (@wisteria.house_) posted impressive before and after pictures of her patio to TikTok – and it’s gone down a storm online.
And luckily for homeowners, she also shared a short video demonstrating exactly how she achieved the stylish transformation.
In the clip, she explains how she used ‘Sandtex ultra smooth weatherproof masonry paint’ in Cornish cream, which costs £27 from the likes of Wickes and Toolstation.
She’s then seen painting the dull patio slabs with two coats with a roller, before using “setting sand as grout.”
Next, Sera uses ‘Sika setting sand,’ which can be bought for as little as £12 on eBay.

“Wet the sand and leave to dry.”
After leaving it to completely dry, she’s delighted with the stylish results – and it’s fair to say the patio has been given a whole new lease of life.
The post has since gone viral and racked up several comments – with many quick to commend Sera on her very impressive handiwork.
