People are only just realising what the lines in the bottom of the freezer are for – but debate still rages

PEOPLE are only just realising what the lines in the bottom of the freezer are for – but there’s a split opinion.

The debate began when one Queensland woman claimed they’re designed to store meat.

The theory has left social media users debating whether it’s true or not[/caption]

The woman who first asked the question sparked the fierce debate by posting on Facebook: “How old were you when you found out the lines at the bottom of the freezer was made to stand the Meat trays up?

“Today years old,” she added, teamed with three emojis showing a mind being blown to express her shock.

Alongside this, she uploaded photos with around a dozen meat packages resting side-by-side against the raised white grooves.

And today, the Twitter account, @todayyearsoldig, posted the original Facebook post from 2019 with the caption: “Ain’t no way”.

But although this theory may make sense, social media users have been left debating it online.

The tweet quickly racked up over 7,000 likes and 180 comments from people leaving their thoughts on the mind-blowing discovery.

One wrote: “All I can think about is those meat juices pooling at the bottom of these trays just making it disgusting everywhere when you thaw it out”.

Another said: “At this point y’all are just making things up [for real]”.

A third commented: “Those ridges are to ensure cold air can flow underneath whatever it is you’re freezing. It’s an efficiency thing. Not for meat trays”.

A fourth added: “Nope. They are for air flow underneath the packages so that they freeze faster and don’t get stuck to the shelf”.

A fifth joked: “My grandmother used to say that – BUT that’s when stuff was properly sealed and lasted forever. Lol. I advise y’all not try that nowadays”.

One more chimed in: “Nah, this one is a stretch. Ain’t no way is exactly right”.

But others found the discovery nothing short of genius.

One Twitter user wrote: “Wow… I just pop them in like that can they start adding how to instructions with these gadgets”.

Someone else joked: “Twitter should be a class starting at junior year of high school”.

“I need to just quit life…been doing everything all wrong,” said another.

And people are also just realising the very simple way you can tell how much is left in a spray bottle.

Once you pee off the decorated film, you will be left with a clear spray bottle which can easily tell you how much of the product is left in the spray bottle.
