Jane Atkinson reveals how they made their Money, Money, Money.

ROYALTIES

ABBA are said to have earned tens of millions from music sales.

In 2018 each was reported to have made £3.1million just from the songs in the Mamma Mia! franchise.

The group’s production firm now licenses ABBA-related theatre, film, TV and music.

ABBA VOYAGE

TICKETS for the virtual reality show cost up to £450 – and more than a million fans have seen the spectacular since it opened in London last year.

Universal Music Group has announced that the band’s digital avatars will soon go on a world tour.

BJORN is the majority shareholder in Mamma Mia! The Party, which combines a meal with the band’s hits.

It launched in Stockholm in 2016 and moved to London in 2019, with tickets ranging from £99 up to £250.

TELEVISION

ZOE BALL will present new ITV talent show, Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream, in which performers will compete to star in the ABBA musical in the West End.

The four-piece won’t profit from the TV show but will earn royalties from the music used.
