Gardening tips 2023 — Easy trick to keep ants from overrunning your backyard – and you already have the items at home

GARDENING season is upon us and as many start to prepare their backyards for plants, pests are finding their way in.

As many creatures see your garden as a source of food, you can easily deter ants without using any chemicals.

TikTok user Anna (@annalanier2) showed her followers how she uses coffee and cloves to keep ants off of her plants.

“Bugs and mosquitos hate the smell of coffee. I am going to sprinkle it around the outside of my house. Guess what? It smells great,” she explained in her video.

In a second clip, Anna showed viewers how ants react when you place cloves in your flowerbed.

She filmed the bugs inspecting and then quickly avoiding the spice buds.
