I’m a size 12 & I used to hide my body in frumpy clothes – now I wear what I want, people say they gasped at my glow-up
A MID-SIZE fashion lover is breaking societal rules that say bigger women shouldn’t show off their bodies.
She’s now leaning into her passion and wearing clothes that makes her feel beautiful.
Liane (@lianelw) is a style influencer who uses her TikTok and Instagram to inspire other women to love their bodies and dress for their own, rather than for others’, comfort.
Although now comfortable in her skin, the size 12 beauty – who wears a size 16 UK – said she wasn’t always keen on flaunting her curves.
In a video, she shared an image of herself from 2019 wearing an oversized green cardigan over a baggy white T-shirt and loose jeans.
“When I thought I looked better hidden under frumpy clothes,” she began.
A year later, however, she decided to wear what she wanted.
The clips that followed were a montage of Liane in fashion-forward, sometimes revealing fits.
She showed off her full chest in a mustard yellow top with a sweetheart neckline.
Switching into something a little dressier, she looked ready for a night out in a khaki crop top and matching midi skirt.
For a business casual look, she rocked a white blazer with a black sheer skirt.
The body positive promoter looked playful and summery in a strapless polka dot number.
Slipping into a black leather mini dress with knee-high boots, Liane appeared edgy and confident.
Her last look gave her a flirty appeal, as she twirled in a pink floral frock.
“Style over size,” she captioned the clip.
Viewers applauded her perspective.
“Nearly broke my arm pressing the follow button so fast! Finally a real woman with real style and confidence. Just the type of inspiration I need in my life,” one person wrote.
“The glow-up that DREAMS are made of,” added another.
“I GASPED,” a third admitted.
