Foodies go wild for Lewis Capaldi’s £1 pizza from Heron Foods & hail them ‘best frozen pizzas ever’
HE’S famed for his music but Scottish star Lewis Capaldi has also become a big hit in the foodie world.
Ever since putting his name to a range of frozen pizzas, the 26-year-old singer songwriter’s culinary creations have been flying off of supermarket shelves.
And the latest store to stock them has sent foodies into meltdown, as they can’t get enough of what they’ve called pizza perfection.
Budget store Heron Foods – which has been gaining popularity in recent months – is currently selling Lewis’ Devilishly Good range.
What’s more, each of the pizzas – which come in two toppings, cheese and meat feast – are priced at just £1 each, in comparison to other supermarkets where they’re at least double the price.
One savvy supermarket shopper took to Facebook’s Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group to shout about their find.
They also gave the frozen staple a great review, encouraging other foodies to try it out for themselves.
The Facebook user uploaded a snap of the tasty looking pizza – comically called ‘The Big, Sexy, Meaty One’ – which cooks from frozen in just 16 minutes.
Alongside their picture, they wrote: “Lewis Capaldi’s pizza (who knew) £1 in Heron.
“Didn’t expect much but it was really good.”
As soon as the woman posted her foodie find, she was inundated with comments from those saying they couldn’t wait to take advantage of the bargain buy and tuck in.
One person said: “These pizzas look so nice!”
A second added: “Looks yummy!”
While a third wrote: “That looks nice for a £1.”
Meanwhile, countless others were also quick to sing the praises of Lewis’ pizza range, saying they’d definitely purchase them again.
One social media user said: “It was really nice, I’ll buy it again.”
A second echoed their thoughts, as they wrote: “I’ve had this and it’s bloody gorgeous.”
Others described them as the “nicest frozen pizza” they’d ever had.
And another typed: “Honestly really nice pizzas – the cheese was amazing.”
