Emmerdale viewers shocked after a drunken Mackenzie Boyd punches Dan Spencer as baby Reuben’s health deteriorates
EMMERDALE viewers were left stunned after Mackenzie Boyd reaches breaking point and punches Dan Spencer.
The new dad (played by Lawrence Robb) struggled to cope with his son’s Reuben’s health problems and lashed out in the Woolpack while drowning his sorrows.
Mack continued to struggle balancing his marriage with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and a secret life with his newborn son.
Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) received devastating news that her baby failed to breathe on his own when he was taken off the ventilator.
The doctors then informed her that there is a possibility Reuben might have a bleed on his brain and will need further tests.
When the news reached Mack, he was left reeling like his world came crashing down and he headed to the pub.
Later, in the Woolpack, Dan (Liam Fox) tried to be optimistic about Reuben’s condition, but a spiralling Mack reached breaking point.
A drunken Mack then punched Dan and stormed out, leaving his new wife Charity stunned.
Viewers were left shocked over the violent scenes.
Taking to Twitter, one said: “Mack is under pressure #Emmerdale”
Another wrote: “Oh Mack you idiot, you can’t go round punching folk in your tantrums! Charity is so f****** thick I cba #Emmerdale”
However, one wasn’t quite as concerned, writing: “Good old Mac….you can always rely on him, eh?”
Meanwhile, Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope) was left horrified when he came across an impromptu meeting between wife-to-be Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) and his secret lover Ally.
Gabby is oblivious to the fact that her fiancé Nicky has been having an affair with Ally behind her back.
When their plans fall through, Gabby urged Nicky and Ally to have a boys night together.
Is Nicky playing with fire?
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7:30pm on ITV1.
