Horror moment thugs batter young man on Scots street as victim left with ‘broken leg’
THIS is the horror moment a man was left needing hospital treatment after being battered in the street by three thugs.
The sickening incident took place in a car park at Scholar’s Gate in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, just yards from a nursery, care home and pub.
The Scottish Sun understands the man required emergency surgery after complaining about a broken leg during the relentless assault.
Footage has emerged of three brutes laying into the helpless 21-year-old man.
In the clip, the thugs stamp, kick and punch him.
At one point he clambers to his feet before being thrown to the ground by one of the thugs.
A car passes by an toots its horn but the attack continues.
The stricken man can be heard repeatedly pleading: “Stop it, my leg’s broken.”
He adds: “You’ve got me, my leg’s genuinely broken.”
The attack happened around 7pm on April 30, close to Little Scholars Nursery, Thistle House nursing home and Whitehills Farm bar and restaurant.
Earlier that day the Old Firm had contested the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden.
Police launched a probe into the assault and are appealing for witnesses as officers’ enquiries continue.
Detective Constable Frank Donaghy said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing. We understand there were other people in the area around the time who may have witnessed this disturbance.
“We would urge anyone who may have information to get in touch.
