But today it was announced she would be making a return to the BBC to host episode seven of the latest series of Have I Got News For You.

The show will air on Friday, May 26 and Steph will be joined by show regulars Paul Merton and Hislop.

The celebrity guests for the episode were announced earlier this week.

I’m A Celeb’s Carol Vorderman will be on the panel, her first appearance on the programme in 17 years.

Carol, 62, last took part in 2006 and has appeared on the show on one other occasion.

Completing the line up for the May 26 show is comedian Nabil Abdulrashid, who was a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent in 2020.

This will be his second appearance on Have I Got News For You.

Meanwhile Carol was sent home from I’m A Celeb South Africa on Thursday night.

Viewers saw Carol and Paul Burrell leave the show after giggling their way through their final trial in a head-to-head battle.

That means that Myleene Klass, Fatima Whitbread, Phil Tufnell, and Jordan Banjo are left battling it out for the top spot.
