I’m a size 16 & did an Old Navy try-on haul – everyone said I look great in red but the viral dress was an instant ‘no’

A PLUS-SIZE fashionista brought home an Old Navy haul and gave her followers an honest review of each look.

She tried on lots of looks, from shirred tops to a viral dress, and managed to find a few stylish surprises.

Tyler Marz (@tymarz) is based in Toronto, where she makes fashion and lifestyle content.

As a size 16, one of her specialties is reviewing plus-size clothing from popular brands and giving her fellow curvy cuties the inside scoop.

In a recent video, Marz unboxed and tried on a full suite of ensembles from Old Navy.

“Old Navy’s new arrivals definitely caught my eye,” Marz said, holding up her bounty on hangers. “Everything looked adorable.”

The first top she tried on was a breezy linen, perfect for steamy summer days.

“I actually think that I’m going to size down,” she said once the top was on her body.

The next pick, a similar shirt in a deep black fabric, had the same problem.

“I want it to be tighter, but it has a cute little bow,” Marz said, flicking the tiny accent bow at her shoulder.

She was surprised by the next two tops she tried on, which had similar silhouettes and both came in a deep, warm color.

Marz confessed that previously, she hadn’t worn a lot of pink or red because she thought it might not work with her skin tone.

“I love this color on me. I honestly love shirred things,” she said, tugging at the figure-flattering fabric. “I like how they hug my waist.”

Her viewers agreed that the bright shirts looked great on her, and encouraged her to keep both pink and red tops.

At that point, she began to get worried about how many of the items she’d be keeping.

“We’re not coming across enough ‘no’s,'” Marz said, sounding concerned as she admired how she looked in yet another Old Navy outfit.

Luckily, her fortunes were about to shift. “I spoke too soon because I don’t like this,” she said, modeling a loose swing dress.

“This feels very very cheap,” Marz said, thumbing the fabric of a creamsicle-orange dress.

The dress would’ve been find if it weren’t for the material. “With so much potential, why did they choose this?” she questioned

The pink dress also felt cheap, but it has nice detailing and handy pockets[/caption]

“This one also feels cheap, but I do really, really like the details,” she said, trying on a similar dress in pink.

Then, slipping her hands to the sides, she revealed another major entry to the “win” column. “It also has pockets, b***h,” she said.

The basic black jumpsuit she modeled was a close call.

“This one is nearly perfect to me,” she said. “I just wish these straps were thicker. I feel like that would’ve made it so much better.”

Her luck started running out as she tried a couple of crocheted items from Old Navy’s summer swim collection.

“This is a swimsuit cover-up, but it’s not doing much for my shape,” Marz said, trying to make the loose dress fit her more closely. “I don’t like it.”

She also bought a coordinating bag, but the armhole was so small, Marz could barely even wear it.

Finally, she held up a black dress with criss-cross halter straps.

“I’ve seen this dress all over my For You page,” Marz said. “It has a built-in bra, but will it support the saggers?”

Then, she put the dress on. At first, it looked like it was supporting her chest fully.

But when Marz pulled her arm away, she showed that the built-in bra didn’t do much for her.

She answered her own question about support in a monotone. “No,” Marz said flatly, sounding totally unsurprised.
