I’m a furniture flipper & love grabbing abandoned roadside junk & giving it the glow up it deserves… & I make thousands
A FURNITURE flipper has shared how he was able to upscale an entire dining set he found abandoned on the street.
The DIY fan turned the free curbside table and chairs into a £400 luxury dining set.

He shared an upscaling session in a TikTok video online.
Connor said he couldn’t believe his eyes when he spotted the full four chair dining set on the side of the road.
The creator confessed: “I never stopped my car so fast when I saw this full dining room table and chairs on the side of the road. I packed every last piece into my trunk and was outta there, no questions asked.”
Connor said he couldn’t stand the dining set’s orange stain so decided to tackle that first after a quick clean.
“I absolutely hate orange stains so much. So we definitely will be getting rid of that. I started off by just giving it a quick clean down with a degreasing spray to get rid of any grime and dust.”
“I started sanding and then realised I forgot to use my carbide scraper to get the top coat off, so that made it a lot easier to sand.
“I just touched up the sides of my detail sander and finished it off with some 2:20 and 400 grit to get it smooth.”
After sanding Connor painted the base of the singing table and chairs black.
“This is my little garbage bag trick. I just tear it down the seams and use it as a tarp to cover any exposed areas that I don’t want the paint to get to.”

“So I finished taping that off and just used my Bullseye 1 2 3 primer making sure to hit the base and the actual chairs themselves.”
“I’m painting the base in the chairs in black, so I just filled my paint sprayer and made sure to thin it out with a little bit of water.”
The DIY fan then started to stain the top of the dining table but decided to go with a whitewash instead.

“I started staining and realised I actually hated the stain. So I went in with a white wash to get rid of that ugly yellow that the stain put on, and just swept it down to kind of give it a more muted look.”
Connor revealed he will be selling his revamped table and chairs as a luxury dining set for £400.
“I throw on some finishing wax, and there you have it. A free curbside dining room set turned into a $500 [£400] luxury set.”
