This Morning fans spot ‘awkward’ moment between Phillip Schofield and smiling Ruth Langsford
THIS Morning fans have pointed out what they felt was an awkward moment between Phillip Schofield and Ruth Langsford on the show today.
The ITV breakfast show returned to our screens today – but Phillip and Holly Willoughby didn’t address the the drama between them both.
At the end of today’s instalment, as usual, the Loose Women panel appeared on our screens via a link to tell viewers what they could expect from the upcoming episode.
Phil introduced Loose Women anchor Ruth Langsford by saying: “Let’s find out what the Loose Women have today it’s Ruth, hiya!”
“Hiya, coming up our reaction to this year’s Eurovision, can you guess who the superfan is here?” Ruth replied.
“And we’ve got two guests today, actress and Judi’s comedy mentor Gina Yashere. Gina’s talking about making it in Hollywood.
“Also, I’m A Celebrity… South Africa’s Phil Tufnell tells us why he wanted to return to the jungle. And it’s going to be a totes hilar show isn’t it Janet?”
Her co-star Janet Street-Porter replied: “Obvs!”
Ruth then explained what else they were going to chat about.
She added: “We’re discussing our most loved and most hated abbreviations – RB… RBBRB.”
The presenter later explained that she was trying to say “Back right after this!”
However some were let a letter confused, including Holly and Phil back at the This Morning studio.
A confused Holly replied: “Ah I was trying to work out what that was…”
Before anything else was said Phil chimed in: “See you later!”
Some viewers commented on the awkward encounter between Ruth and Phil – and their feud is well-known with viewers.
One said on Twitter: “Ruth Sideeye Langsford.”
Another chimed in: “Ruth looking rather smug….”
“Ruth looking particularly happy today,” a third added.
Ruth used to co-host This Morning every Friday with her husband Eamonn Holmes until August 2021.
Eamonn Holmes waded in on the This Morning feud as he called co-stars Holly and Phillip “a broken fit”.
The former ITV star hit out about the partnership as he discussed his former pal’s fallout on his GB News show last night.
Eamonn, 63, made a savage quip over Holly, 42, and Phil, 61, appearing on TV together at the BAFTA awards last night, as the pair failed to attend.
Ripping into the pair, he said: “There should have been a special award for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby for best actors.
“They may or may not be together on the telly today.
“The public surely will suss that there’s no chemistry, that it’s a broken fit between the two of them and that This Morning does not depend on who presents it.”
