Ten Pound Poms: Cast, plot, filming locations for BBC drama
TEN Pound Poms is the latest original drama series that has landed on BBC One.
Created by Bafta-winning Danny Brocklehurst, here is who you can expect to see on your screens.
Who stars in Ten Pound Poms?
Michelle Keegan
Michelle Elizabeth Keegan is best known for her role as Tina McIntyre in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street.
She has also appeared in Sergeant Georgie Lane in the BBC drama series Our Girl.
She is married to Towie star Mark Wright.
Faye Marsay
Faye Marsay has seen her stardom rise over the recent years thanks to a series of impressive TV appearances.
She has quite an impressive CV – starring as Anne Neville in The White Queen, Amy in Need for Speed, Candice in Fresh Meat and Steph in the film Pride.
Other major roles include Blue Colson in the Black Mirror episode Hated in the Nation, and the Waif in the fifth and sixth seasons of Game of Thrones.
Warren Brown
Warren’s acting career began in two episodes of the television series Shameless before going on to play the evil Andy Holt in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks.
He was nominated for a number of awards for his performance in the show including Best Villain, Most Spectacular Scene, and Best Exit at the 2006 British Soap Awards.
He has also appeared as one-off characters in Casualty as well as starring in The Bill, Luther and Good Cop.

What is Ten Pound Poms about?
Ten Pound Pms follows a group of Brits as they leave post-war Britain in 1965 and embark on a new adventure on the other side of the world.
For only £10, the group have been promised a better quality of life in Australia.
But while the offer sounds like a dream, the reality is not exactly what they have been promised.
The series follows the group’s rises and falls as they adapt to their new life in a new country far away from their homeland.
Where is Ten Pound Poms filmed?
All of the filming took place in Australia.
Sydney
Some scenes were shot in and around Sydney, as well as primarily in Scheyville National Park.
Michelle Keegan said that Australia was a lot colder than what she thought it would be.
She told RadioTimes.com: “We were laughing because obviously when you hear you’re going to work in Australia, you pack your flip flops, your vests.
“As soon as we landed, I had to go shopping and buy myself a raincoat.”
Blue Mountains and Carcoar
The BBC also filmed in the Blue Mountains and Carcoar.
Warren Brown told the BBC: “Some of the most challenging scenes were ones we shot in a place called Carcoar in New South Wales which is about three-and-a-half hours outside Sydney, over the Blue Mountains.
“This is where you get to see Terry’s struggles, his efforts to fit in with the workforce around him.”
When is Ten Pound Poms on BBC1?
The first episode of BBC’s Ten Pound Poms aired on BBC One at 9 pm on Sunday, May 14.
In total, there will be six episodes, with each episode airing weekly.
Each episode will be an hour long.
All episodes will also be available to watch as a boxset on BBC iPlayer.
