I’m trolled for spending £20,000 building luxury home for my DOG with wardrobe and TV – but I don’t care
AN INFLUENCER revealed how he’s trolled online for spending £20,000 on building a luxury home for his dog – but he doesn’t care.
Brent Rivera fans have shared how the social media star built his pooch a house fit for a king.
Taking to TikTok, @brentriverafans revealed a three-part series, documenting how the 25-year-old constructed the home which even includes a wardrobe and TV.
First, followers watch Brent going into Home Depot to purchase materials like wooden beams and sheets before building the body of the luxury house.
With the help of some pals, Brent managed to attach a roof, lighting, stairs and even a fence to the pup property.
The pair then revealed it was time to decorate the mini-home after painting the wooden features a modern, fresh white.
Brent installed a bed and wardrobe at the top of the stairs, giving the home an authentic feel before adding decorative cushions and pillows.
The dog lover even set up an alarm clock and mini-fridge for his pooch – Charley.
On the bottom floor of the dog mansion, Brent placed a bean-bag, couch, and a flat-screen TV which “only plays squirrel videos”.
His mate joked that Charley was getting “spoiled” but Brent quickly disagreed and demonstrated how the mutt-friendly TV worked.
The popular YouTuber and TikToker then added “the finishing touches” which consisted of adorable family photos, a tiny coffee table, potted plants and even a doormat reading: “Dogs welcome (people tolerable)”.
The £20,000 house was a Charley’s birthday present, and the DIY duo revealed it to her by pulling down a red sheet which covered the glamorous build.
Charley can be seen sitting on the couch in the “living room”, and then sitting on the bed in the upstairs area.
Her tongue was sent wagging at her incredible new home as Brent claims ” what more could she want, she’s literally never going to be bored”.
In part 2 of the TikTok series, Brent revealed he even splashed the cash on a “professional sitter” to come to the house while he’s at work to entertain Charley before hosting a huge birthday party at the house with her other dog friends.
The dog-dad then gave a tour of the back garden which boasted a mechanic ball-throwing device and white picket fencing.
The videos racked up over 122,000 likes and 700 comments but not all of his fans were impressed with the over-the-top build.
One wrote: “Y’all need to get her a toy box and dog food and water”.
Another said: “What the helllll”.
A third commented: “As if they did that”.
One more chimed in: “Are you okay? You’re telling me you spent £20,000 on a dog !!!”
This comes after one mum built an incredible house for her dog under the stairs for £60 – and even decorated the pace with photo’s of its parents.
