My nightmare neighbours told me my fence was on their property – but I got the last laugh when I had land survey done
A HOMEOWNER has revealed how his neighbour told him his fence was on their property – but he got the last laugh following a land survey.
Justin Hathaway took to TikTok to share the nightmare fencing spat before he got his own back.
The bloke (@hathawaysadventures) posted camera footage of the whole event playing out and it left his followers in stitches.
Justin began the video with a clip of a land surveyor marking out the points of the land which he owned with the caption: “The neighbours were arguing that my fence was on their property…
“So I had the survey redone to figure out exactly where the line was.
“I don’t think they were too happy when they realised they were wrong!”
He then revealed that the results of the land survey showed that he actually owned almost a foot and a half past where they initially thought the line was.
The video then jumps to a clip of the nightmare neighbour throwing down pieces of random rubbish where they new line had been marked.
“So they lined the property with their junk,” Justin added.
The man, dressed in jeans, a t-shirt and a cap, can be seen kicking the item into place before the TikToker played a snip from a night cam.
The same man is shown placing his lawnmower on the line, as well as a tyre and other pieces of garbage.
Justin’s 59 second post plays another day-time clip with the caption: “And then Karen tried to have her friend pull the new stakes that were driven 3 feet in the ground…”
The man had driven markers into the grass that had rope running through them – to display exactly which part of the land he owned.
But a woman in a floral skirt and white t-shirt can then be seen storming over to the wooden stakes and tugging on them.
After failing the first attempt to rip them from the earth, she returned to a child in the background as Justin said: “I hope y’all are having as much fun with this as I am”.
The post quickly racked up over 694k likes and over 6.8k comments from sympathetic followers.
One wrote: “It is illegal for them to move the stakes I would be petty and call the police have her friend charged and arrested, wanna be in the war you gotta”.
Another said: “I would make them move their fence !”
A third commented: “My dad is a land surveyor. It’s illegal to move or remove their marker”.
A fourth joked: “There’s a Karen in every neighbourhood!”
One more added: “I’d remove part of their fence that’s on my property,” teamed with a laughing emoji.
This comes after a homeowner boasted how he got revenge on a neighbour who demanded he replace her old fence – but everyone is saying it backfired.
Another fed-up homeowner put up a 7ft fence around their garden for privacy – only for their petty neighbour to install a camera overlooking it.
And one woman was left fuming after her local council ordered her to tear down her new fence, despite her claims it was the same height as her old rotten one.
