I love my baby having the same glow as me so fake-tan him when I’m doing mine – people say I should stop but I love it
A MUM has claimed she fake tans her baby as she loves him having the same glow that she does.
The parent uploaded a video appearing to show her infant with a matching golden tan, and it has unsurprisingly sparked a debate.
She joked: “When everyone is telling me to stop self tanning my baby but the loving tan employees have families to feed.”
The video has racked up over 50,000 likes on TikTok and people were quick to weigh in on the controversial confession.
One joked: “I love this. I wish I had his skin colour.”
A second added: “Tan looking so flawless.”
However, many pointed out how wrong it was, with one commenting: “Disgusting! So horrible!”
According to a midwife on BabyCentre: “Plenty of fake tanning products are safe for you to use during pregnancy.
“However, tanning pills and injections should be avoided as they can pose a risk to you and your baby.”
They commented on using fake tan as an adult around babies, saying: “Fake tans will not harm your baby if you use them as a mousse, lotion, cream, water, oil or wipe.
“As your skin renews itself, the fake tan fades as the skin naturally sheds its cells.”
