I’m a woman in the Coast Guard – people ‘don’t believe’ I’m in the military, but I look good and you know it
A COAST Guardsman has revealed that telling people her job often elicits eye rolls and laughs of disbelief.
She’s able to brush off the haters, however, because she knows she looks good in her military uniform.
Lacie Kraatz (@lacie_kraatz) is proud of her career in the Coast Guard, despite the fact that it’s a male-dominated workforce.
In one video, the blonde said people usually don’t believe her when she tells them what she does for a living.
Reenacting the conversation she often has with others, she began: “Yes I’m in the military.”
Acting as someone else, she replied: “Really? I don’t believe that at all.”
To shut down the naysayers, Lacie stepped away from the camera to reveal her work getup.
Over her navy top and matching pants was a bulky US Coast Guard vest, complete with holsters and a walkie-talkie.
Although at first glance the blue-eyed Coast Guardsman might not look like your classic military personnel, with her arm tattoos on display and her confidence oozing, the woman proved she was indeed a tough professional.
After one user commented making fun of her look, she replied with another video.
Laughing off the rude comment, she strutted in her uniform while mouthing along to the song whose lyrics said: “B***h I look good and you know that.”
Viewers applauded her work.
“Certified Coast Guard baddie,” one person praised.
“Definitely the prettiest Coastie I’ve ever seen,” added another.
“Slay,” a third chimed in, to which another reiterated that they were “proud” of her hard work.
