Britain’s Got Talent fans work out how Simon Cowell was ‘set on fire’ in jaw-dropping trick
EAGLE-eyed Britain’s Got Talent viewers think they have figured out how a magician managed to “set fire” to Simon Cowell.
Miki Dark left audience members stunned after the famous judge put his head in a box became engulfed with flames.
Luckily, the 63-year-old was left unscathed after the incredible trick.
The illusionist has become known for his daring stunts like swallowing razor blades and blindfolded knife throwing.
However, his performance on BGT left audience members screaming as Simon’s head went up in flames.
The judge was asked to sit in a chair with a cover placed over his head before Miki poured lighter fluid over him.
He then set the box on fire, before revealing an unharmed but baffled Simon.
Unable to let the secret remain a mystery, some were desperate to get to the bottom of how Miki pulled it off – and they accused the magician of being ‘basic’.
“Well obviously there was another box round his head and the fire was between the 2 boxes. Acting he didn’t know what was happening. Getting too staged now this,” one fan wrote.
Another unimpressed viewer said: “a fire proof box sectioned off all round the top and sides, with lighter fluid already doused on beforehand, and water Simon’s head completely shielded anyway. This is basic magic that’s been done for a century.”
“So a box with a false roof, false front and false sides nearly tricked us into thinking he set Simon’s head on fire,” another wrote.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “Have the audience and judges never seen a fire-proof hood used in special effects? It was entertaining but not dangerous in the slightest.”
Fellow judge Alesha Dixon had already met Miki when he performed on America’s Got Talent.
