I’m a pro secondhand shopper & found the best charity shop – it’s got loads of quality furniture, most under £10
A CHARITY shop pro claims to have found one of the BEST charity shops in the UK offering a mix of both brand new and preloved gems – and most of it was under a tenner.
Zoe Pocock took to TikTok to recommend Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney for those on the hunt for bargain furniture, crockery, and clothes.
Known online as @mucknbrass, the artist and charity shop enthusiast regularly shares secondhand hot spots with her 93,500 followers.
In a new reel, Zoe shares her first impressions as she walks through the various rooms.
And despite thinking the outside looked a little creepy, she was thrilled with the selection of new and secondhand homeware she found inside.
She said: “The first thing you see, this is outside. Now my husband did find a very expensive golf club for my son, so that was handy and a good start.
“I’m going to video every room as I found them, just so you can see what was there when I arrived on that day.
“Now something about Emmaus, they always have a lovely little display as you walk in the door, and this was their coronation display.
“First room was beds, headboards… and it was all very clean. Very mixed, new and old, and well looked after stuff, so it really does cover for lots of different tastes and wants here.
“This was the linen room. Really nicely set out again, they had lots of haberdashery in there in bags, and things were sectioned, and knitting needles were paired.
“Now this was an old hospital so a lot of the rooms are tiny, where they would have just had one hospital bed in.
“So this one, you could literally just walk up the middle and back out again, but again there’s a mix of new and old furniture and electricals. All had been checked.
“And this was electricals like kitchen and sewing machines, things like that.”
The keen bargain hunter also spotted a load of records and books in another corner.
She continued: “First crockery room. Now, Emmaus are known for having a great crockery selection. Did buy a few bits in here, and some glasses.
“As you can see, it’s well stocked.”
In another space, she clocked full sets of furniture, ideal for those after matching pieces.
However, it was a bargain futon that caught Zoe’s eye, which she bagged for just £60.
She added: “This is the clothing. Really good selection of vintage-style clothes in here, so if you buy and sell clothes, vintage clothes, I definitely think you should go and have a look here.
“There’s a great selection of men’s and ladies’, shoes and old suitcases.”
Fans loved hearing Zoe’s first impressions, with her whistle-stop tour gaining more than 1,200 likes and 33,400 views.
In the comments, keen shoppers shared their reactions, with one writing: “Biggest charity shop I’ve ever seen.”
“Wow wow wow love it,” commented another.
A third added: “This is one of my faves and super local to me. I come here every couple of weeks. The cake is AMAZING!”
Someone else put: “These videos always feel like an IKEA trip.”
