We get slammed for sticking to a rule for our wedding – people might think it’s selfish but we wanted the perfect photos
A COUPLE has gone viral after revealing the one firm rule for their wedding day – and it’s sparked quite the debate online.
The intense discussion took place on TikTok after two newlyweds, believed to be from the US, shared a clip of their special occassion.
The now-viral video, uploaded by the user @ndethomasi, sees the two having their first dance together in a jaw-dropping hall with crystal chandeliers and massive flower bouquets.
But what many viewers noticed was that there were no guests – children included.
Although the couple later explained that the adult guests were, in fact, in the room, they had banned any kids from attending their wedding.
This, the love duo added, was to ensure the photos came out perfect.
As well as stunning snaps, the couple and their guests would also be able to enjoy a heart-warming and emotional ceremony without children dashing around, they noted.
”Nothing worse than a screaming kid while the bride is walking down the aisle,” the two went on in the caption.
The clip soon racked up more than 7million views, as social media users flocked to comments for a debate.
But despite some deeming the move ”controversial” and some parents saying they wouldn’t show up without their tots, others reckoned the couple had every right to ban children.
”Just got home from a no kids wedding. It was awesome!” a guest said.
Someone else agreed: ”Even if kids are allowed, I still don’t bring mine. What for?

One wife penned: ”Yeah kids ruined some of my pictures. If i had to do it again, i would say hell no to the kids.”
”I don’t understand younger kids at receptions anyways. They don’t even want to be there,” someone else commented.
”Definitely too loud and too long for a child.”
