X Factor legend takes cryptic swipe at Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby as she reaches out to ex This Morning host
AN X Factor legend appeared to take a cryptic swipe at Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield in a telling social media move.
Rebecca Ferguson, who shot to fame on the 2010 series of The X Factor, reached out to ex-This Morning host Fern Britton as the rumours of a feud between Holly, 42, and Phil, 61, continue.
Fern sensationally quit as host of This Morning in 2009 after presenting alongside Phillip for seven years amid rumours of her own fall-out with him.
And she appeared to make a dig this week when she tweeted about an unexpected catch up with fellow former This Morning host Eamonn Holmes.
Making it clear who’s side she’s on, Rebecca, 39, replied: “I love you and @eamonnholmes lovely people on screen and off screen xx.”
Drama at This Morning continued to unfold this week – with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield now barely speaking off camera as their friendship hangs by a thread.
At the time of her exit from the show in 2009 there were rumours of Fern being unhappy about Phil being paid more than her – something she swiftly denied.
But later, in his autobiography Life Is What You Make It, Phil detailed a “blazing” row he believes made her up mind.
He recalled being “stunned” when Fern accused him of “meddling” in the show as they clashed in a make up room.
Phil wrote: “I walked back into the makeup room and calmly said, ‘Please don’t do that to me again.’
“I think, for whatever reason, that was the point Fern decided she didn’t want to do This Morning any more.”
It’s no secret that there’s no love lost between Eamonn and Phillip either.
Just this week he appeared to take a cryptic swipe at his former co-star.
