Inside Stacey Solomon’s incredible birthday party for son Rex’s fourth birthday
STACEY Solomon proved she’s a very cool mum by throwing an epic Spiderman-themed birthday party for her four-year-old son Rex.
The Loose Women star, 33, gave fans a sneak peek inside the family celebrations, which included a huge cake and themed balloons.
Stacey and husband Joe Swash, 41, posed next to their little boy, who was dressed in a special Spiderman t-shirt.
They beamed for a sweet family photo, with Stacey writing: “It’s party time, let’s go do four Rexy bum.”
The TV presenter and DIY guru then shared a clip of her decorating their £1.2m Essex home with balloons.
They then headed to a huge foam pit for some active fun, which saw Joe take a tumble and land on some soft cubes.
The Bake Off host joked: “Mum and dad, the biggest kids.”
She then shared a clip of Rex enjoying the indoor play centre with his pals and wrote: “Hope you had the best day Rex, mummy and daddy love you so much. Four years has gone far too quick. To the moon and back Rexy.”
The youngster was also treated to a huge black and red Spiderman-themed cake.
The mum-of-five added: “It all went so fast today. Going to have a little birthday roast dinner at home on Tuesday to celebrate his actual birth date but today was so special.
“Some of his friends will all go to different schools in September, so it was so nice to see them having fun together today.”
The outing comes after Joe’s stint on I’m A Celeb All Stars ended earlier this month.
His emotions got the better of him during his time in camp and he was left sobbing about his kids and wife.
In one scene, he was seen looking pale as he told the jungle camera: “It’s just overwhelming innit.
“The whole thing’s overwhelming, the hunger, the tiredness, being away from your family.
“Or like face cream it’s disgusting.
“It made me gag it made me wrench, it’s like doing a trial every morning brushing your teeth.”
Joe told his co-stars Myleene and Jordan Banjo that he was struggling being away from his children.
He told them: “I am really starting to miss my kids, do you know what I mean?”
As he started crying they embraced him as he added: “It’s hard to get rid of the feeling.”
Joe admitted that it was much harder this time round on the show because he now has a family.
