ONE nomadic woman has flushed her bathroom problems down a brand-new toilet.
For the past five years, she’s had to do her business in a hole outside her van, but not anymore.
Sydney Ferbrache’s (@divineontheroad) decision to live in a van has been inconvenient for bathroom time.
However, she’s given an update on the no-toilet situation in her home-on-wheels.
“I have a toilet for the first time in five years,” she proclaimed.
Sydney sat on the edge of her bed, unable to comprehend her new luxury.
Before she had the right appliance, Sydney’s had to grab a shovel and make her own.
She dug holes in the dirt every time she needed to go.
Now, the excited nomad has a dry flush toilet under her bed and next to her kitchen.
The bathroom appliance was placed on a track for Sydney to slide it out whenever.
Sydney demonstrated how it worked by dumping coffee grinds and orange peels inside.
This appliance requires cartridges that last 15 flushes.
A cartridge looks like a frisbee with tin foil bags attached.
When she flushes the toilet, the cartridge folds up the contents in one bag and replenishes with a fresh one.
Sydney explained you sprinkle pee powder to solidify any liquids, which she kept next to her cooking seasonings.
“If you’re wondering if it smells, shockingly no,” she admitted.
The best part: the toilet can easily be removed from the track and taken outside to do your business in the fresh air.
Over 1,150 viewers commented on Sydney’s post, humoring her.
“It’s a diaper genie for adults,” one woman exclaimed.
Another individual said: “Fifteen flushes would last me a day and a half.”
