I gave my patio a glow-up but it was a disaster – I’m thinking about making it dirty again just so it looks better
A SELF-CONFESSED “beige b***h” was left unimpressed when her DIY garden session revealed a “rainbow dance mat” patio.
But she seemed to be the only one who disliked the look, as many people encouraged her to keep the unique paving slabs.
Content creator Amy Shaw documented herself jet washing the patio in a recent TikTok video.
However, she dubbed it a “disaster” when what was lurking under the dirty slabs didn’t suit her beige style.
Amy comically compared the floor to a “rainbow technicolour dance mat”.
“I’ve had a bit of a garden disaster and uncovered something I was not expecting,” she said.
“This is a patio that I’m attempting to get ‘dinner garden party’ ready. But the results of the jet washing were surprising.”
The influencer, who usually posts fashion content, unearthed a plethora of multicolour paving slabs once the mud had been washed off the top.
“First up, we found green,” she said. “Then red. Before we know it, yellow and purple.
“Basically every colour of the rainbow.”
Amy had started jet washing a centre patch of the garden patio and once its colourful tiles had been revealed, she wished she “hadn’t started at all”.
“After debating whether we should just rub dirt back on that patch or put some flower pots there, I decided we should persevere and jet wash the whole thing,” she continued.
And while she wasn’t a fan of the colourful garden look, some people were loving it.
“Why do people hate colour?” one person penned under the video. “It’s lovely and has way more personality than boring concrete grey.”
But Amy had a sassy response.
“I love colour in all the flowers I’m growing!” she said. “Everyone’s different.
“I’m a beige b***h, what can I say?”
Others said the colourful patio “had character” and they’d opt to keep it.
“You’ve revealed a party patio!” one viewer joked.
“Keep it and accent it with flowers. You can still be beige elsewhere.”
