PHILLIP Schofield is selling a plush flat which he used to have secret trysts with his toyboy lover, it was claimed last night.

The axed This Morning host is flogging the penthouse apartment, which he owns with wife Stephanie, for a seven-figure sum.

The young aide who the disgraced star lied about having an affair with is believed to have stayed at the pricey pad

A young runner who the disgraced star lied about having an affair with is believed to have stayed at the pricey pad on multiple occasions.

Telly’s Eamonn Holmes claimed Phil, 61, took him back to a London property for “Playtime Thursdays” before ITV paid for a car to drive him to work on Friday.

He and Steph, 59, are selling their “immaculate” two bedroom home in South London for £1.2million – the same price they paid in 2012 for it as a new build.

A source said: “It has long been rumoured that Phil was using a flat to conduct his affair with the young runner so they could meet in secret outside of office hours.

“He would usually stay there while presenting This Morning from Monday to Thursday with ITV cars often seen coming and going from the address.

“The property has been on the market for a while now. Apparently there has been one offer recently but the buyer dropped out.

“It seems like the Schofields are now unfussed about making a profit and just want rid of it since their split.”

The gated development flat is said to be in “very good condition throughout” and the “perfect setting for entertaining” giving views of landmark The Shard.

It is near The London Studios where This Morning used to be filmed before moving to White City’s Television Centre in 2018.

On Tuesday, The Sun revealed claims Phil also used a flat inside the programme’s new studio complex to discreetly sneak his junior staffer in through a hotel entrance.

A source claimed the pair would spend hours together inside an exclusive block called The Helios.

It came as ex-This Morning presenter Eamonn claimed he recently found out the runner would arrive at the studio much earlier than he would – “delivered from Phillip’s home”.

He told GB News: “Usually on a Friday morning, because Thursday was playtime when he and Phillip would hit the town and then he obviously stayed overnight.”

Asked what he knew about the relationship, Eamonn added: “The only thing I ever knew was that, oh, they’re very close, oh Phillip’s his boyfriend. The lad would never admit anything like that to us.”

Eamonn spoke out after Phil went on the attack on social media – blasting the people speaking out against him and This Morning for being “toxic” after he stepped down.

In a post on social media, Phil wrote: “Now I no longer work on This Morning I am free to say this.

“I hope you have noticed that it’s the same handful of people with a grudge against me or the show who seem to have the loudest voice.

“This Morning is the best show to work on, with the best people. In all the years I worked there was no toxicity. You can listen to those persistently loud voices if you like.

“But the thousands of guests over the years, thousands of staff and crew, hundreds of presenters and contributors all know, it is a family of wonderful, talented, kind, hard working people.”

Phil quit all his roles at ITV, including his role on Dancing On Ice, on Friday when he admitted to lying about his affair with the younger man.

ITV said they were disappointed by Phil’s deceit and This Morning boss Martin Frizell has since ordered photographs of him to be removed inside the studios.

His co-star Holly Willoughby has vowed she will not step down from the show, despite calls for her to leave.

Yesterday insiders close to Holly revealed she had no intention of quitting and would be back on screen from June 5.

Following his confession, Phil has seen himself lose a series of big brand deals – including parting ways with his wine company.

The Prince’s Trust also confirmed to The Sun they were no longer working with Phil in light of recent events.

At This Morning, insiders revealed how top boss Frizell was fighting to keep his job after his bosses turned the screws.

This week ITV were forced to deny they had made any mistakes into the investigation they launched into Phil’s relationship with the runner in early 2020.

A former staff member leaked an email they sent to ITV head Carolyn McCall flagging their concerns in the months leading up to the investigation.

They said their claims were ignored and that no action was taken.

Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary have covered for Holly since she took an extended two week break from This Morning.

It is believed Alison will join Holly on the sofa from Monday before a rotation of presenters step in alongside her.
