Who is Daniella Karagach?
Born on December 26, 1992, Daniella Karagach is an American dancer and choreographer from Brooklyn, New York.
Her parents split when she was one and she was raised by her single mother, Regina.
Karagach grew up in Forest Hills and Bath Beach but later moved to South Beach in Staten Island.
She began ballet at the age of three and Latin dance classes when she was just seven.
By 11, she began studying standard ballroom dancing and later became Pasha Pashkov’s dance partner.
The pair have been dancing together since 2009 and won the United States 10-Dance Champions and Latin Champions seven times.
Karagach is the youngest person US competitor to ever hold this title.
In 2019, she gained a large following after joining ABC’s Dancing With the Stars.
How many times has Daniella won Dancing With The Stars?
Since joining DWTS’ for the reality show’s 28th season, Daniella has taken home the Mirror Ball Trophy once.
During DWTS’ 30th season, she and her dancing partner Iman Shumpert were crowned the program’s winners.
“I’m just so grateful to Dancing with the Stars for allowing choreographers such as myself to shine,” she told Good Morning America.
“It’s rare that you get a show where you’re able to just let your creativity just come to life.”
Her dance partner Iman added: “I felt like the whole season I was like telling Daniella, ‘Man, you just are great at what you do,’ and everybody was saying she didn’t have a Mirror Ball yet, so I’m really happy she got one now.”
When Daniella was paired with Nelly in season 29, the duo made it to the finals but finished in third place.
For season 31, she and Joseph Baena were the fifth pair to be eliminated as they finished in 11th place.
When did Daniella marry Pasha Pashkov?
On July 18, 2014, Daniella married her longtime boyfriend Pasha Pashkov after four years of dating.
The pair have been dancing together for over 12 years and have won numerous titles.
In 2017, after turning professional in the Latin Dancesport division, Karagach and Pashkov won the Blackpool Rising Star Professional championship, as well as the UK Open Rising Star Professional championship.
In 2018, they won the United States Latin American Showdance Championship and NBC’s 2nd season of World of Dance.
On May 30, 2023, Daniella and Pasha welcomed their first child; a baby girl named Nikita.
