I had a major glow up – my seven easy tips will help you do the same, and actually save you money
A BEAUTY queen said her recent glow up is the result of seven habits she began practicing.
Sharing her tips, she said looking good doesn’t cost much.
Australian influencer Izzy Furniss (@izzy_furniss) wants to “glow up together” with her followers, as she states in her TikTok bio.
The 26-year-old doesn’t believe in gatekeeping, so she revealed her top beauty and health secrets.
“I’m about to enter a glow up myself, so I thought I’d share with you guys the things I’ve done in the past that made me feel so much better and look so much better as well,” she began in the video.
WATER
Her first tip is an easy one: drink 3 liters, or around 100 ounces, of water a day.
“When you start to drink more water and you’re more consistent with your water, watch your skin and the way you glow completely change.”
GET MOVING
Her second piece of advice was to get in at least 10k steps a day.
“It sounds like a lot, but it’s not if you split it up into two walks a day, in the morning and at night.
“When you’re walking it feels so good for your mindset to be outside, relax, be within nature, and move your body in a gentle way.”
She noted that walking daily also aids digestion.
ALCOHOL
She addressed her “party girlies” next.
“At least for a month, do no big weekends,” she said, meaning that you should limit your alcohol intake or cut it out completely during your glow up period.
She said to particularly ditch any drinks that will make you “feel like s*** the next day.”
THE GLOW DRINK
Her fourth tip is to have a “glow drink” every day, which involves super food greens powder, prebiotic and probiotic, and skin elixir.
“This is really good for your hair, your nails, your digestion, and bloating.”
She said focusing on gut health is crucial for a glow up, and a drink like this does just that.
SELF CARE PRODUCTS
Izzy said moisturizers and hair masks also make a big difference on your appearance.
“Within our glow up, do at least two hair masks a week,” she said, noting she uses the $11 one from Mielle.
“Also, oils. Lather yourself in oils and moisturizers, be in your feminine energy. Radiate soft, glowy skin, and trust me, you’re going to feel so much better.”
JOURNALING
Her sixth tip is for the mind: journaling.
“I know that can seem really scary and hard to start, but just begin by doing five gratitude’s and five affirmations.”
Little things like this, she noted, will alter your mindset.
“And affirmations are things that we want to speak into our existence.”
READ
Her final tip was to “pick a book and stick to it.”
One with the title Good Vibes, Good Life is Izzy’s choice.
“Put your phone down for half an hour a day and pick up something that’s going to help with your mind.”
