Inside one of the smartest tiny homes that you can buy for just £150k and it’s MUCH bigger than it looks
THIS tiny house looks fresh out of an Instagram page-worthy renovation… but it can be put on wheels and taken wherever you want it.
The upstairs bedroom has its own open area up a flight of stairs, while the lounge, kitchen and dining sections all have their own space.
The unique home, made by German builders Vagabundo, was designed to make the limited space feel bigger.
It has wood fibre insulation, double-glazed wood-aluminium windows and three-layer fir wood for the interior panelling.
But those aren’t the coolest bits of the pad that will set you back around £154k.
The portable home has an electric lifting system which means it can lower the upper-storey down to cover the bottom-storey.
The designers integrated this to apply with European towing laws.
When parked, it rises to an impressive 20.3 feet.
Those who don’t feel like lugging their home around with them can have it mounted to a trailer base.
“This is the way we have to establish the housing market and the ‘living market’,” one of the co-founders said.
“I would say, to be more flexible. Because flexibility also creates sustainability.
“Because the more flexible you can use a space or a property, the more sustainable it gets.”
The so-called ground floor has an open plan living area.
In this is a lounge area with a panoramic window, a modern kitchen, space to fit a dining room table and a bathroom with an incineration toilet.
There’s also three folding doors that open up to the outdoor terrace.
Being tiny doesn’t mean a house can’t be boujie either, as it comes with underfloor heating.
The bulky elements and mechanics required to make the two-storey home become one aren’t visible.
They’re tucked away in cupboards and the corners.
Vagabundo’s tiny home is part of its Flex model which looks to offer a sustainable and versatile way of buying homes.
