I made the easiest five changes to my life & it transformed my body in just nine months – here are the rules I stuck to
A WOMAN has shared the success behind her weight loss journey – and it’s all thanks to five simple changes to her life.
14 stone – that’s how much TikTok user Sophia Ashmore used to weigh before embarking on a body transformation journey.
Just nine months later, the young woman, from the UK, stepped on scales and saw that she had shed almost five stone.
But as well as following a fitness regime and workout sessions, Sophia swore by five easy changes that she implemented into her daily routine.
No more contraception
”I honestly gained so much weight when I was on the pill,” Sophia claimed in her video.
”That thing was evil. I was on the pill for about two years and I literally felt depressed every day of my life.”
After making the decision to stop taking any birth control, Sophia insisted that it ”changed” her life.
”I feel it was at this point where my weight loss journey truly started because I felt so much healthier mentally and physically.”
Intermittent fasting
Around for centuries, intermittent fasting has become increasingly popular over the years.
The eating concept is based around certain meal timings and typically follows around the 16:8 window, giving you eight hours a day to eat food.
For instance, if your last meal was at 8pm the night before, you can break your fast at 12pm the following day.
Some, like Sophia, choose an even smaller window of eating – she’d have her first bite at 12pm and would enjoy dinner at 4pm.

”In this four-hour period, I ate around 1,300 to 1,500 calories a day.
”It was very challenging for me – however, it did wonders.”
Eat healthier not less
”If you look at my videos, you’ll see that I eat a lot of fruit, I eat a lot of vegetables – and throughout my weight loss I found that really helpful because I have quite a big appetite.”
In her clip, Sophie added that she chooses to substitute the sweet and sugary cravings for healthier options that are lower in calories and more satiating.
”I don’t recommend going on any form of diets. All I would say is just eat more healthier and an abundant range of different foods.”
Exercise
Although exercise is good for your both physical and mental health, Sophia added that spending hours in the gym is not a must.
”I know it’s not a necessity to exercise to lose weight – as long as you’re in a calorie deficit, inevitably you will lose weight.”
It won’t be easy
Losing weight is never easy – and you may be tempted to simply give up on more than one occassion.
But as Sophia reminded, if you’ve already prepared yourself for this arduous journey, you will be more likely to stay committed.
”It takes time.”
