Erik ten Hag and Man Utd board split over Harry Kane transfer with three other top strikers targeted
ERIK TEN HAG and Manchester United chiefs are split over the Red Devils’ summer striker hunt, according to reports.
The Dutchman is desperate to add an out-and-out striker to his squad ahead of next season.
Ten Hag, 53, is a huge fan of Harry Kane and is very keen to sign the Tottenham talisman this summer.
According to The Athletic, however, not all United board members feel the same.
Spurs will demand huge money for Kane, despite his contract expiring at the end of next season.
The England skipper also turns 30 next month, with some at Old Trafford wanting a younger signing.
And there was talk earlier this week that the Red Devils have given up on signing Kane.
Despite Ten Hag’s wishes, they now seem set to pursue a trio of younger targets.
Atalanta ace Rasmus Hojlund is on United’s wishlist, after scoring nine goals in Serie A last term.
But the Dane won’t come cheap either, with Atalanta reportedly after £86m for their 20-year-old starlet.

Eintracht Frankfurt ace Randal Kolo Muani is another name on the shortlist.
The 24-year-old is coming off the back of an impressive first season in the Bundesliga, bagging 15 goals and laying on 14 assists.
Kolo Muani also played in the World Cup for France, providing an assist for Kylian Mbappe in the final and seeing a last-gasp chance for a winner blocked by Argentina keeper Emi Martinez.
Also on United’s radar is Napoli sensation Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian is likely to be out of their price range, however, with Napoli set to demand more than £100m for their star man.
