I got a privacy fence to stop my dad from pestering our neighbor – but he was doing it for a heartbreaking reason
A CONCERNED daughter has hired someone to reupholster her fence for more privacy.
Her dad won’t stop pestering her neighbors and hopping the barrier because of a heartbreaking reason.
Now, she’s had to take matters into her hands and hire two men to put up another wall.
In the video, Darren (@confidenthomesolutions) took viewers along as he fixed the fence with his partner.
The North Carolina-based contractor said this isn’t a job he typically gets hired for.
“We got a unique situation,” he admitted.
However, since he’s worked for the daughter and her dad before, he had no problem taking the job.
And the devastating reason for putting up another fence motivated him as well.
“We had a previous client call us. She told us that her father, who we’ve worked for many times, has got dementia,” Darren explained.
“And he’s over harassing his neighbor.”
The contractor only disclosed a few details for context. But he admitted a restraining order was placed on the father.
Darren set out to add pickets to the other side of the barrier to stop the dad from climbing into the neighbor’s yard.
“We’re going to add some pickets so he at least can’t stand on that bottom two by four,” he said.
The two workers quietly brought their tools to the back as they weren’t supposed to be seen.
They nailed pickets into the existing wood fence on the side facing the neighbor’s backyard.
Viewers were pleased to see Darren helping the daughter protect her dad.
“I hope the modification worked for the client,” a supportive follower commented.
One pleased person wrote: “What a considerate daughter. And with all she must be going through. Bless you all.”
“Thank you for helping this lady out. It must be a scary situation to be in,” an appreciative YouTube user remarked.
