My lazy girl meal is perfect for busy women trying to get fit – you’ll have lunch for 2 days, just heat it up
WOMEN who lead busy lives but want to get fit and healthy must prepare meals to avoid the ease and convenience of fast food.
A TikToker who is a nutritional specialist has over one million followers due to her fitness and diet hacks and tips.
Makayla Thomas (@makayla_thomas_fit) has shown busy women a lazy girl lunch that is quick and simple.
The chicken salad will see you have lunch prepared for two days and can be paired with tasty sides.
Makayla revealed that when losing 50lbs it was a staple part of her diet.
In her caption to the recipe, she wrote: “Pack this quick and easy recipe with me and you’ll have a yummy, macro-friendly lunch ready for two days.
“I eat mine cold like a (southwestern) chicken salad – also great to eat with crackers or tortilla chips.”
Makayla uses 6oz of chicken and tells viewers that they do not need a specific type.
She adds one to two tablespoons of shredded cheese, some cooked bacon bits, corn, and half an avocado to give the meal some healthy fat.
To the bowl, she adds two tablespoons of non-fat plain Greek yogurt but suggested swapping it out for mayonnaise or soured cream.
Half a teaspoon of Fiesta ranch seasoning is added on top of the yogurt along with the juice of half a lime.
With a spoon, the ingredients are all combined and then topped with broken tortilla chips “for crunch.”
Makayla then portions it out using Tupperware with three different sections.
One section has a portion of the salad, and in another, she adds half of the Mexican Style Street Corn Chopped salad kit from Walmart.
The kit comes with its own dressing which she portions out into two small pots.
“Lunch for two days,” she wrote in the video, adding: “Eat food you love AND crush your goals with my digital cookbooks/plans.”
Viewers were grateful for the recipe with one commenting: “I need to start cooking again instead of buying frozen ‘healthy’ meals. All your meals look amazing.”
Makayla replied understanding that a busy lifestyle can mean “it’s like that sometimes” but that meal prep is “beneficial.”
“Love all your content. You have inspired me to get healthier,” another viewer wrote.
A third added: “I’m DEFINITELY making this!”
In the comments, the TikToker clarified that the chicken went in the salad raw and so all you need to do is heat up the salad
