I tried the heatless curls hack & I failed so hard I look like a poodle – everyone says I made the same mistake
A WOMAN has been left mortified after her heatless curls hack left her looking like a poodle.
Australian lady Lera Jane slept with her hair wrapped tightly to achieve wavy locks by morning, but the results were worse than she ever expected.
Everyone’s been trying the heatless curls hack, which involves wrapping your hair around a special silk rod before going to bed.
The hack is supposed to give your locks a natural wave that holds its shape all day without needing to use your curling tongs.
However, it seems the trick doesn’t work for everyone.
Sharing her awful experience online, Lera asked: “How do I even save this?!”
In her short clip, viewers see Lera standing in front of the camera with a hair brush.
Her long blonde hair is tightly curled into ringlets and she stares at the camera with a worried look on her face.
The text reads: “Do overnight curls, they said…”
Lera begins tackling the tight spirals by carefully brushing each section from root to tip.
As Lera combs through the curls, her hair begins to expand and take on a frizzy appearance.
After some minutes of fruitless hair brushing, Lera can deny it no longer – the hack was a total fail.
Using the heatless curls hack made the poor woman look like she’d stepped out of a 70s sitcom.
While the long lengths at the back of her head puffed up and lost their shape, Lera’s fringe remained super bouncy and full – a look she really wasn’t expecting…and she didn’t want it, either.
Lera’s video has been watched by a whopping 320,000 people and tonnes of ladies have spotted her glaring error.
According to fellow curly-haired girls, Lera should have left her locks alone and banned the hair brush from touching her head.
One mortified user begged: “NEVER BRUSH GIRLS. EVER.”
A second agreed: “Wide, WIDE tooth comb or fingers to brush out curls.”
And a third replied: “Why did you brush it though.”
Other viewers mocked the Aussie beauty, with one chiming: “‘Welp, guess I’m wearing my hair up today’.”
