I’m a mum – these are the worst parts of parenting nobody warns you about
A SCOTS mum has lifted the lid on the worst parts of parenting that nobody warns you about.
Kerri Roma Anderson, from Bo’ness, West Lothian, has more than 400,000 TikTok followers and regularly gives fans an insight into her everyday life.
The mum-of-one recently opened up about the challenges of being a parent, including having to deal with her son’s unpredictable mood swings.
Taking to the video-sharing platform, Kerri said: “I love being a mum, I genuinely do. It’s brilliant, I love every bit of it.
“That’s a lie, I don’t love every bit of it. Some of it is dreadful.
“They don’t tell you that the wean’s feet grow at the speed of light. Honestly, a new pair of trainers every week. It’s appalling.
“There are so many parts of it which are s***, but it’s alright for it to be s*** and it’s alright to admit that it’s s***.
“The part that I’m struggling with right now is dealing with the teenage years, even though he’s not a teenager.
“The hormones are up and down. I’m all for showing emotions and stuff like that but losing his s*** over something as simple as me not walking up the stairs with his cereal and asking him to come down for it.
“He’s learning about the menstrual cycle just now, maybe after that, he’ll thank me for not right hooking him.
“I love my son so much, but sometimes I’d quite like not to be a mum.”
Kerri’s followers flocked to the comments to react to the clip, with many relating to her experience of being a parent.
One person wrote: “My daughter is 11 and exact same.”
A second said: “My son is 10 and OMG, I feel ya!”
A third put: “My wee girl is 11 and is exactly the same! They are teenagers before their time these days! Screamagers I call them.”
A fourth weighed in: “Love them to bits but they test my patience.”
A fifth agreed: “Sometimes you need to count to 100, we love them but they drive us crazy and this weather doesn’t help.”
Kerri recently visited a bargain superstore in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, which has been hailed as B&M meets The Range.
And the mum of one was delighted with the items she nabbed for her home and garden at bargain prices.
