I got multiple tattoos when I was 18 – now I hate them all, my emo phase might be over but I’m stuck with the bad ink
A SOCIAL media influencer and flight attendant now heavily regrets the tattoos she got when she turned 18-years-old.
Tattoos can be exciting, but it’s important to remember that the art you get inked on your body will stay there permanently – no matter if your style and interests change.
One 26-year-old woman learned this lesson the hard way as she now says that she doesn’t like any of the tattoos on her body.
Brooke Anderson, who posts lifestyle and flight attendant content on TikTok, recently posted a “tattoo tour” for her followers.
However, while similar videos feature creators gushing about the different tattoos they got, Anderson said she is unhappy with hers.
The TikTok creator revealed she got all of her tattoos when she was 18 and 19-years-old, and hasn’t stepped foot in a tattoo parlor in seven years.
She has four tattoos – ranging in size, style and placement on her body.
Anderson revealed that the first one she paid for was on her foot, showing the tattooed arrow which refers to her zodiac sign.
“I got that one because I’m a Sagittarius. That was my first tattoo,” Anderson said.
“I mean it really has no meaning to me.”
The second tattoo is a large quote printed on her arm that reads, “I am strong because I’ve been weak. I am fearless because I’ve been afraid.”
She revealed that she does “kind of like” the tattoo as it is written in her mother’s handwriting and refers to Taylor Swift with the “fearless” reference.
“I don’t mind this one. I just wish it was in a different location like on my ribs where it could be easily, more easily hidden,” she said.
Anderson then detailed that she is considering removing her third tattoo on her ankle, which is actually a coverup.
“So the original tattoo was a cat that was so ugly, straight from Pinterest. I got a matching one with my friend,” the creator explained.
“And then like a year after we got the cats we were like the cats are so ugly. Let’s get a flower to cover it up.”
Anderson said that the flower that is there now is “so big and blotchy” and she doesn’t like it anymore.
The fourth tattoo she has is her least favorite, according to the TikToker
“I don’t know what I was thinking,” Anderson said.
Tattooed on her ribs is a quote from the song “Homesick” by A Day to Remember.
“I’m holding on to a fairy tale, We’re moving forward, but we’re not there yet,” the quote reads.
Anderson revealed that in high school she went through a “really big kind of emo phase,” however at 26-years-old, she doesn’t listen to that style of music anymore.
She has hesitated getting the tattoo removed as it is easily hidden on her ribs.
“And that’s why I haven’t gotten a tattoo in seven years because I don’t like all the ones I have. Would I get another tattoo? I don’t know,” she said.
Anderson is one of several people turning to TikTok to share their bad tattoo stories.
One woman shared how she regretted impulsively getting a butterfly tattooed on her face.
