Celebrity MasterChef winner ‘revealed’ as bookies back surprise favourite
CELEBRITY MasterChef 2023 is yet to kick off, but bookies have backed a surprise favourite to win.
Paddy Power believes Max George could be the next star champion, with odds of 5/4.
Pop heartthrob Max has had number one hits, a stint in US sitcom Glee and even impressed on the Strictly dancefloor.
Now the Wanted star is hoping to add ‘chef’ to his many job roles.
Followed closely behind Max with a high chance of winning the trophy is Love Island’s Dani Dyer, who recently gave birth to twins.
She’s got odds of 5/1, while actor Michael Praed – best known for his role as Robin of Loxley in the 1980s series Robin of Sherwood – is least likely to be crowned champ.
A Paddy Power spokesman said: “Spatulas at the ready! Celebrity MasterChef is back so be prepared for a lot of soggy bottoms. We are predicting a heated competition with pop-star Max George as our favourite to take the crown at odds of 5/4, just ahead of Dani Dyer (5/1).
“At the opposite side of the scales, at long odds of 150/1, our oddsmakers aren’t convinced DJ Locksmith will successfully swap his dance bass for a buttery biscuit base, while actor Michael Praed (150/1) will need more than just merry men to win.”
Celebrity MasterChef 2023 is hitting our screens in early August with a new batch of contestants.
The stars will all be hoping to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace, so that they can be crowned the 2023 winner.
Through six weeks of challenges, the celebs will be put to the test to see if their culinary skills come out on top on.
They will all be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Lisa Snowdon who lifted the trophy in 2022.
For 2023, the cast is more glittery than ever before thanks to two Love Island favourites, a stunning Strictly pro, an award-winning rapper and even one of the nation’s best armchair critics.
