I’m a single mum & live in a HUGE mobile home – people say it’s bigger than their house & it’s so much cheaper than rent
LIVING in a mobile home full-time is super fun and way cheaper than renting, according to one savvy mum.
Single parent Rebekah has spent two years living in her renovated RV and people claim it looks bigger than their own homes.
Rebekah decided to share a full tour of her mobile home online, and it’s like Narnia on wheels.
“I’m a 32-year-old single mum and I live in an RV – come take a tour with me,” she smiles.
“I live in a Forest River Heritage Glen 378 FL, which means it has a front living room,” she says, pointing towards a fabulous mantelpiece with roaring fire.
“I didn’t remodel this RV,” she explains. “However I did completely overhaul the entire interior.
“When I bought my rig, it was full of grey couches and recliners. It wasn’t my vibe so I ripped it all out and made a living room.”
Rebekah films a brief tour around her front living room, which features a soft wood floor, rattan pouffes and an aztec-style rug.
“I have a fireplace and there’s a TV that comes up behind it.”
She pans the camera around for us to see her comfy sofa featuring tonnes of cream scatter cushions and a burnt orange-coloured blanket.
Opposite the sofa is a leather-look futon with yet more neutral-tones cushions. The piece folds out into a handy bed.
There’s a cute corner of round nesting tables covered in forest green plants, picture frames and accessories.
The tables separate the living space from the kitchen, which features a bar area with high stools.
The kitchen looks like a proper home with a full fridge and oven, plus plenty of cupboard and counter space.
“I have an island and one of my favourite things is the mini RV dishwasher that I installed,” she says.
There’s even a dining area for two people.
“I never feel cramped because I have 10ft ceilings,” she says, filming the modern bathroom from floor to ceiling.
There’s a skylight above the white-tiled shower and a spacious sink with marble-style surround.
The stylish bedroom features a huge bed and a sideboard where she keeps her office computer.
Incredibly, there’s still more. Rebekah’s kids sleep in a loft above her bedroom.
Up the carpeted stairs are two twin-sized beds, a portable air conditioner and loads of storage.
“July will be two years in this trailer and when I hit year three I will have completely broken even on what I paid for my rig versus what I’d be paying rent for in my area,” she says.
People are completely stunned by the savvy mum’s mobile home, with over 3,000 people gushing over the interior.
One user replied: “That’s one hell of an RV, I would’ve never guessed.”
A second said: “I think this RV is worth more than my house.”
A third commented: “This is absolutely bigger and way better looking than my ten year NYC apartment.”
And a fourth chimed: “The RV witchcraft is wild. Fits in the lanes of the roadway and is Narnia on the inside.”
