EuroHockey Championship Qualifiers – UPDATED

Brussels, 11th November 2021 (updated 9th December 2021): In line with the announcement at the EHF General Assembly in 2019 that from 2022 there would be 4 teams pre-qualified for the 2023 EuroHockey Championship and the other teams would qualify from a EuroHockey Championship Qualifier in 2022, we are delighted to announce the dates, venues, and teams for the 2022 events.

The teams already pre-qualified for the 2023 EuroHockey Championship in Monchengladbach, Germany are:

Men: NED, GER, BEL, ENG
Women: NED, GER, BEL, ESP

The 2022 EuroHockey Championship Qualifiers  (Men & Women) to complete the line-up in Monchengladbach and the make-up of the 2023 EuroHockey Championship II, II, and IV events, will take place on the following dates at the venues below:

Men’s Qualifier A

Teams: ESP, POL, ITA, POR, SVK

Venue: Ourense (ESP)

Dates: 15-20 August 2022

Men’s Qualifier B

Teams: FRA, IRL, UKR, TUR, LTU, SLO

Venue: Calais (FRA)

Dates: 21-27 August 2022

Men’s Qualifier C

Teams: AUT, RUS, BLR, CRO, DEN, HUN

Venue: Vienna (AUT)

Dates: 21-27 August 2022

Men’s Qualifier D

Teams: SCO, WAL, CZE, SUI, GIB, FIN

Venue: TBC (SCO) *

Dates: 21 – 27 August 2022 (new dates)

* End of January 2022 the venue in Scotland will be confirmed.

Women’s Qualifier A

Teams: ENG, WAL, RUS, CRO, SVK

Venue: Durham (ENG)

Dates: 22-27 August 2022

Women’s Qualifier B

Teams: IRL, POL, CZE, TUR, FIN

Venue: Dublin (IRL)

Dates: 22-27 August 2022

Women’s Qualifier C

Teams: BLR, ITA, UKR, LTU, GIB

Venue: Vilnius, Lithuania

Dates: 15-20 August 2022

Women’s Qualifier D

Teams: FRA, SCO, SUI, AUT, HUN, SLO

Venue: Dunkirk (FRA)

Dates: 21-27 August 2022

Notes:

  1. In case of circumstances beyond EHF’s control, the EHF reserves the right to reconsider the event dates.
  2. The withdrawal date for all tournaments in this competition is 15 January 2022. Any National Association withdrawing after that date may be subject to a fine or other disciplinary action by the EHF. See current EHF Regulations for further details.
