Antonio Rudiger restrained by Chelsea team-mates as Leeds clash descends into brawl after late penalty
ANTONIO RUDIGER was at the centre of a massive brawl after Chelsea snatched a late win against Leeds.
For the second time in the dramatic match, the German centre-half won a penalty which was then converted by Jorginho.
After Chelsea ended the game with three points and a 3-2 victory, the tension boiled over.
Rudiger was restrained with team-mate Romelu Lukaku doing his best to calm down the charged up defender.
It was a rollercoaster clash at Stamford Bridge with Raphinha opening the lead from the spot just before the half hour mark.
But Mason Mount equalised minutes before half-time to put the game level after a cross from Marcos Alonso.
Chelsea first went ahead after Rudiger was brought down by Raphinha, which needed a VAR check, before Jorginho slotted home.
Leeds had thought they grabbed a stunning equaliser late on after 19-year-old Joe Gelhardt struck to make it 2-2.

But sub Mateusz Klich fouled Rudiger in the box, allowing Jorginho for a second time to tuck home, giving Chelsea the win and sparking the late brawl.
Blues boss Thomas Tuchel said: “I did not see actually in detail what was going on.
“I can understand the frustration because we’ve all been in this situation when you think you have a point and then it slips away.
“So you get angry and frustrated. We all know this because this team of Leeds is a strong team and a team that sacrifices to win.
“So things can get headed up. I hope there was no bad things. If you have Toni you have Toni.
“If you have him as the aggressive leader on the pitch you can’t have him not involved if there are teammates to defend on the pitch.”
