NHL shuts down Canadiens, postpones 2 Columbus games

The NHL shut down team activities for the Montreal Canadiens on Monday and postponed the Columbus Blue Jackets' next two games due to COVID-19 outbreaks on both clubs.

The league had previously postponed two of Montreal's games through Dec. 26.

The Blue Jackets were scheduled to play Monday night at Buffalo and Thursday at home vs. Buffalo. The Canadiens' games -- Monday night at the Islanders, Wednesday at the Rangers,
