Передние колеса Abarth 500e приводятся в движение одним электромотором, который развивает 153 лошадиные силы и 173 фунт-фут крутящего момента. Это приличный прирост по сравнению со стандартным 500e, который выдает 117 лошадиных сил и 162 фунт-фут крутящего момента в американской версии. Abarth утверждает, что хот-хэтч способен разогнаться до 62 миль/ч за 7,0 секунд, и Abarth заявляет, что электромобиль на 1,0 секунду быстрее на испытательном треке Misto Alfa в Balocco, чем бензиновый Abarth 695 на базе предыдущей модели 500. Abarth 500e имеет три режима движения — Turismo, Scorpion Street и Scorpion Track. Также можно включить генератор звука для воспроизведения шума бензинового двигателя Abarth.
