J.J. Watt Says He Expects Brother T.J. to Break All of His NFL Records

Former NFL defensive end J.J. Watt made an appearance on Amazon’s Thursday Night Kickoff ahead of the Steelers’ clash against the Titans, during which he offered some serious praise to his brother T.J.

J.J. spoke highly of his brother and admitted that he’s expecting T.J. to break all of the records he set during his 12-year career. 

“T.J. is gonna break all my records,” said Watt. “He’s going to break every single one, it’s just a matter of when.”

T.J. is in his seventh NFL season and has established himself as one of the game’s best pass rushers. The 29-year-old has played in 94 games in his career and has recorded 86.0 sacks. He tied Michael Strahan’s all-time single-season sack record with 22.5 during the ‘21 season, and has already racked up 8.5 sacks in seven games this year.

J.J., who is five years older than T.J., had 114.5 sacks in his career, which spanned 151 games. He was the fifth-fastest player to reach 100 sacks in league history, needing just 120 games to achieve the feat. 

The 34-year-old expressed no doubts that his younger brother will overtake his sack tally at some point, as well as the rest of his other milestones.
