LONDON (AP) — The price of bitcoin surged through $10,000 on Wednesday, adding to its ten-fold jump in value this year and fueling a debate as to whether the virtual currency is gaining mainstream acceptance or is merely a bubble waiting to burst. But as soon as bitcoin went through $10,000, it surged past $11,000, only to plummet from those lofty levels. Samsung filed a patent in Korea this past year for a social story sharing feature using Samsung Pay. The patent, which SamMobile first spotted, explains how users can share their legitimate purchases and maybe even rate the places they frequent. Samsung also discusses working with celebrities to launch the stories feature. The update sounds similar to Venmo's feeds in which users can share their money exchanges with the world.

California October wildfire death toll hits 44 as man dies

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (AP) — A man who was badly burned in deadly wildfires in Northern California last month has died of his injuries, raising the fires' death toll to 44. Michel Azarian, 41, died Sunday at University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento where he was being treated for extensive burns, San Francisco radio station KQED reported Tuesday. Deputies find disabled man on state highway

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Dane County Sheriff's deputies have reunited a man found wandering around a yard near Cross Plains with his family. Sheriff's spokeswoman Elise Schaffer said the man was discovered in a yard along State Highway 14 shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday. Suspect in trooper shooting was given deal in 2015 attack

DALLAS (AP) — The suspect in the fatal shooting of a Texas state trooper during a traffic stop on Thanksgiving Day had previously beaten a deputy and tried to take his gun, but had the charges dismissed or reduced to a misdemeanor in a plea deal. Uber’s deputy general counsel Angela Padilla called a former employee’s letter alleging corporate espionage and other shady tactics “extortion” on the stand during a hearing today in the Waymo versus Uber trial.
