Four Shawnee swimmers arrived in Columbus, Georgia this week for the National NAIA Championship Swim Meet: Kenzie Pennington (Super- Senior), Juan Diego Celis (Sophomore), Evan Siberell (Sophomore), and De-Nicha Lewis (Freshman). This was the first full team that Shawnee was able to bring to the meet. In previous years, Shawnee has only had a single swimmer advance beyond the Mid-South Conference. Over the past three days (3/2-3/4), SSU competed in 10 events.

Austin Hill drove past rookie Chandler Smith as the two took the white flag and held on to win Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at blustery Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Showtime boxing ran a triple header on Saturday night from the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California. The opening bout pitted the 16-0 Amilcar Vidal against the 13-0 Elijah Garcia in a scheduled 10 round middleweight affair. The first round saw Vidal trying to employ a range advantage with his jab. BROOKINGS, S.D. – Fane Sauvakacolo of Dakota State (S.D.) competed on the final day of the 43rd annual NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field National Championships Saturday morning.  It was her second consecutive day for Sauvakacolo competing at the three-day national meet, which is hosted by DSU for the fifth straight year and the fourth time in the past five years that it had been held at Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
