Officer dead, 3 hurt in Florida shootings

One police officer was killed in the central Florida town of Kissimmee on a night when at least four officers were shot in the state, officials said.

The Kissimmee police chief said another officer there was injured and three suspects were in custody.

Authorities to the north said two police officers were shot in Jacksonsville.

The Kissimmee Police Department said its two officers were shot in a downtown area but did not immediately disclose further details.

Gov. Rick Scott also said the two police officers who had been shot in Jacksonville were “in danger.
