The latest installment of Top Rank Boxing on ESPN is a big one, as WBO and WBC junior welterweight champion Terence Crawford (31-0, 22 KOs) takes on IBF and WBA champion Julius Indongo (22-0, 11 KOs) in a crucial unification bout on Saturday, August 19th. While Crawford is a native of Omaha, this fight is happening at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln.
Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo live streaming results and round by round coverage
It’s the first time in the four-belt era that we’re seeing a fully “undisputed” championship match in this weight class. “Bud” Crawford has been phenomenal to watch and is poised to break out as a real star in the sport. If he unifies all the major belts, one can only assume he’ll look for bigger names and big money fights, even if that means moving up to welterweight. Indongo is a big underdog here, but that didn’t stop him from knocking out Eduard Troyanovsky in a huge upset late last year. Once an obscure fighter who fought hardly anyone of note in Namibia, a win for Indongo over Crawford would skyrocket him into the list of top pound-for-pound fighters in the sport.
